wWw & Kings County Distillery: Whiskey Bottling & Distillery Tour - Session One

  • Kings County Distillery 299 Sands Street, Bldg 121 Brooklyn, NY, 11205 United States

Women Who Whiskey is partnering with Kings County Distillery in Brooklyn to bring you an exciting new Distillery Event Series, featuring three afternoons of hands-on activities like whiskey bottling - including a bottle for you to take home! - a distillery tour, tasting, and more!

Kings County Distillery is New York City’s oldest and premier craft distillery. Founded in 2010, Kings County hand makes whiskey out of the 115-year-old Paymaster Building in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. We use New York grain and traditional distilling equipment to make distinctive spirits. Founded and run by people who love whiskey, Kings County focuses exclusively on whiskey, making every drop of the product in-house. Our whiskey has an unusual high-malt recipe, is twice distilled on Scottish pot stills, and is aged almost two years— more than most craft whiskeys.

We'll spend the first part of the afternoon learning about the bottling process - and bottling the whiskey ourselves! Depending on the day, it'll either be Bourbon, Chocolate Whiskey, or Moonshine. Then at 3:45 we'll take a tour of the historic 115-year-old distillery to learn more about the history and how Kings County whiskeys are made. We'll close the tour with a whiskey tasting, and at the end of the day, all bottlers go home with a bottle of whiskey! Then after a day's work of bottling, we'll head to a nearby spot for small bites and a cocktail!
